09 CB Prospect C.J. Barnett

All I here about when it comes to top players in Ohio for 2009 are guys from Northeast Ohio. I know there are some good players up there but I'd like to showcase a player from Southwest Ohio who doesnt get the attention he deserves.

Northmont High School, Clayton OH
DB #2
C.J. Barnett
6'1 175
4.4 40
4.0 GPA

I go to Northmont and play on the football team and get to see C.J. play every day and he is just as good of a prospect as Kurt Coleman in my opinion. He may not get as many pics as Kurt but he is a true lockdown Corner and a good tackler. He has great height for a corner and unbelieveble strength for how much he weighs. I see him go up against Nate Wilburn-Ogletree(6'2 180) in practice who is a D-1 College type receiver and C.J. can shut him down. He has also gone up against Devier Posey(Ohio State) and Brandon Moore(Michigan) both top 100 players in the country and stopped from doing any damage. If you look at their Highlight films you wont see any from the times they have played Northmont. Not only is he a great player but he is a great leader as well. He is a captain as a Junior and one of the leaders of our defense, he is very much in the mold of Deion Sanders in that he is very confident in his ability and has no problem of letting you know. He likes Florida State but says he wouldn't want to play there so I'd look for him to play for a School thats close too home.

For now overrated

CJ Barnett did not play very well in the opener. May have just been a bad game, but if he wants to play with the BUCKS it has to get a lot better than that. I saw Nate Wilburn-Ogletree play as well, he looks like he has the talent to play in the Big Ten next year. Remember we let Mario Manningham get away, letsnot do that again to a great Ohio WR.
