Here's a knockout from a fight last night on showtime. It happened within the first 18 seconds of the match, and is as brutal a knockout as you'll see. The guy was out for at least a few minutes, and chaos broke out from the injured boxer's camp, which put their guy even more at risk. The initial reports stated he had a broken vertebrae, but I believe that has since been retracted.

The guy who got knocked out was a rising star, "was" being the key word here.
