BP Fantasy Baseball (2008-2023, Current Champion = MD Buckeye)

League is full and the draft has been set for March 28th at 8:30 ET. As we did last year, the season begins on opening day (March 30th) and lasts 18 weeks. The first "week" is actually 10 days because the 30th is a Thursday.

Teams will play each other twice. Top six make the playoffs with the top two getting byes. The playoffs end Labor Day weekend so we can turn our attention to tOSU football. No positions or categories have been changed.

If anyone wants to discuss this stuff now is the time.

I am going to go ahead and get in a preemptive "my team sucks dead donkey dick" right now because there is no way I get the same kind of luck with health and performance that I got last year. Good players actually played well and stayed , relatively, healthy. No way that happens again.

The baseball gods are going to run a train on my roster this year. I might as well draft that malingering cunt, Josh Donaldson overall #1.

Come to think of it, maybe I'll draft all Cardinals and end some careers.....

Apparently, I’m more tech illiterate than I realized. I could not figure out how to actually draft a player. I eventually figured out how to queue them, but then it would take the entire minute before it would draft them. Sorry to hold everyone up.

I must not really understand this H2H format because I noticed people were drafting pitching staffs with little to no starting pitchers. What am I missing?

Am I supposed to set a starting lineup, or do all 25 players play each game?

A lot of the draft strategy is around the different categories - holds, Ks per 9 innings, etc. There's really only one true SP slot and 1 true RP slot, the rest can be either one.
You'll need to make sure you have players in each spot on your lineup. I'd recommend checking daily prior to games starting, sometimes you can catch someone not playing that day and swap him out.
