DaytonBuck

I've always liked them
I image the lone scout is working hard right now to prepare for the draft. It's sounds like TJ is gone unless we franchise him. I don't think it'd be worth the money to do it. Take a chance a couple players to come in and help out.

I've heard rumors of the Niners making TJ a priority. That makes me happy, being a random Niners fan in Ohio.

Just a fyi.

I've heard a bunch of teams are going to make a run at him. Niners, Seahawks, Kansas City, and Oakland were just a few of the names, plus the bengals are trying to resign him. I think if they don't franxhise him he is gone esp. since his house and family are all out on the west coast.

I think right now he presents an attractive target because of hir current salary (quick google search gave me $2.85M). Once teams find out what he's going to be asking for (and depending on how ridiculous that number is), some of them might back off......

As a Steelers fan, I actually hope the Bengals keep him. He makes the entire division better.....

Not quite on topic, but I was just watching the Cincinnati local news (WLWT), where they showed the police cruiser video of the Anthony Kennedy arrest. For those of you unfamiliar, Kennedy was UC's interim basketball coach after Huggins got canned, and now is the HC at Ole Miss. When he was in town for the Big East/SEC challenge this season, he was arrested the night before his game for drunk and disorderly after being thrown out of a downtown bar, and also charged with assault after alledgedly using racial slurs and punching a middle eastern cab driver. During the tape where Kennedy was in the back of a cruiser pleading with the arresting officer, there was an exchange like this:

Kennedy: Please don't do this. This is going to turn into a national incident.

Officer: You think I've never arrested anyone who is known nationally? We deal with the Bengals all the time!

So on King of the Hill last Sunday the Lucky guys said I live my life by the motto, "what would a monkey do"

I'm pretty sure a monkey versus Mike Brown for the last 18 years, the monkey is coming out ahead

Noted by NFBuck in the Browns thread - Bengals put the franchise tag on Kicker Shayne Graham.

Idiots.

This certainly means that TJ is likely gone, gone, gone.

The team's choices are indeed limited. It's either sign the receiver to a long-term deal before the deadline, place the franchise tag on the player or lose him.
Well they didn't tag him, Brown (cheapskate) will probably not pay him what he is worth, so bye-bye TJ.

But we get to tag a kicker!!

Simply awesome.
The move means receiver T.J. Houshmandzadeh will become a free agent on February 27. There was speculation that the Bengals would place the franchise tag on Houshmandzadeh, who was sixth in the NFL with 92 catches last season.

ESPN (Sportscenter) just reported that TJ said that there was a "90-something percent chance" that he'd be gone, and that he also thinks Chad Johnson will be gone..

Carson, get the hell out of that city and go win.

Not about the Franchising of Graham, but ugh!!

Yeah, um, was he really fooling anybody? His entire message board existence was to get a rise out of people. Must not have got enough attention from mommy and daddy. That's not the first post of his I've come across like that. He takes joy in every single one of tOSU's shortcomings and revels in pointing them out. Personally, I'm glad the bum is gone from here and hope this time it remains permanent.

Less than 50 posts on the Bungles forum, and Tibs is already making new friends.

Thoughtful thread by Tibor, who's only desire is to agitatate. I bet Tibor visits daycare centers at nap time, just so he can wake all the little babies up and get them crying.

The dumbass that started this thread needs to watch more games. Tons of OSU players are drafted, so there are going to be busts like Bobby Carpenter (agree on that one). But to call players like Will Smith, Chris Gamble and Ted Ginn a bust, that is just ****ing hilarious. You must not watch much football young lady. Those guys are studs. Well, Ginn is not yet, but Smith and Gamble are proven NFL studs.
