Alex Stump reportedly no longer with Ohio State

Another Ohio State football player is moving on. Wide receiver Alex Stump is no longer with the team, according to Dave Biddle of 247 sports -- just a day after it was announced that James Clark and Tyler Gerald would also be parting ways with the program.
Stump was in Columbus for two years, having redshirted his freshman season in 2015 and seeing just one catch (8 yards) in 2016. He was expected to be a bigger part of the passing game in 2017, but with younger guys coming up, Stump’s number of snaps might not have seen the increase he was hoping for.
It’s not known at this time what program the wideout will transfer to, but his time with Ohio State is now over. The Lakewood, Ohio native was a late-flip to the Buckeyes during his recruitment, but was the No. 37 wide receiver in his class (No. 301 overall) and came in as a 4-star.
