You kids stay off my lawn!
I will pause to remember these guys this weekend: Uncle Bill Kozmar, Uncle Bobby Brandt, my dad, Uncle Cliff Brandt and Uncle Ray Brandt (not pictured) and the family Rosie the Riveters, Mom, Aunt Rose, Aunt Betty and Aunt Alma.

Add also my brothers in arms, past and present, especially, San Antonio Buck, junior high teammate Doug Knott and fraternity brother, Al Lofton, more than names on The Wall.

Every one of my uncles who fought in WWll, some wounded others not.
Every man who stormed a beach or a bunker, or crawled into a tunnel.
Every Marine who fought and bled and died in the Islands, Every Air Force man who went down in a plane, along with thousands of Navy men who died at Pearl or Midway and Army men who fought and stormed the maelstrom of Normandy and the hedgerows of France.
Every man jack who fought the trench wars in WW1 and withstood the gas rained down on them for which they really had no protection.
Everyman who walked on the death march forced upon them by Japan.
Every other American who fought the wars of our nation and especially those who died to make our country safe and free.

All gave something , some gave ALL.

Hand Salute.... Semper Fi.
