8 yr old girl brings Jell-O shots to school

The girl told the principal that her mother, who works in a bar, makes alcoholic shots at home and sells them at work. The fourth-grader said her mother had instructed her to take the shots to school and sell them, three for $1, to make some money for Christmas, Nowakowski said.

They didn't make sure there was booze in them before suspending her for 9 days????

That's what I'm wondering.. they take the word of the 8 year old... whose father probobaly hates the mother and said "Now Sally, if you don't goto school and tell everyone your mother gave these to you, Santa won't bring you any presents!"
