Which schools remain heavily in the mix?
“Ohio State, Michigan State, Iowa, Illinois, Mizzou, and Indiana.”
You also mentioned Ohio State, have you been watching them?
“I talk to Coach Johnson all the time. He’s always checking up on me before and after games. Been watching them doing well and getting ready for the tournament. I’m always rooting for my guy EJ [Liddell].”

Loss of Terry Johnson might affect us but I think that he like E.J. more than his relationship with Johnson

Recent article on mboblog says their source told them Reed wanted to commit to OSU at the end of his visit, but was encouraged (by his side) to take his other visits before making that commitment. They believe we lead for him at the moment.

I'll go out on a limb here and say "crap you read on mgoblog is probably even less accurate than crap posted by Sir Yacht".

Quite a bit of smoke about a possible commitment from Reed in this article over at Land Grant
With a pretty veteran team currently donning the Scarlet and Gray, the Buckeyes will have no shortage of scholarships to fill next season. Top guys like Chris Livingston, Jarace Walker, AJ Casey, Kyle Filipowski, Dillon Mitchell and Julian Phillips all still have yet to commit and have all shown interest in Ohio State. With just a couple of these guys, the 2022 class has potential to be a historic one. A commitment from Reed would certainly add to that for the Buckeyes.

A tough and rugged low post scorer and rebounder who also shows some potential shooting the ball from 12-15 feet, Reed projects well as a college center who has more than enough size, skill and strength to be a major contributor early in his career.

Taking things a step further, I ultimately see him ending up in the Big Ten and if I had to wager a bet on where he ends up at this point I'd say that Michigan and Ohio State are the two programs I feel have the best shot at landing him.

If Reed does commit to tsun as many speculate, Okpara and him should have some interesting get-togethers in the coming years.

Okpara starred alongside another OSU target in Missouri center Tarris Reed for the Nike-sponsored Mokan Elite travel team. That team played in the Nike Peach Jam this past week. The 6-9 Reed is ranked as the nation’s No. 71 prospect, according to the 247Sports Composite. https://247sports.com/college/ohio-...x-Okpara-for-2022-recruiting-class-168177403/
