Contingency in case we miss on branham?
without anything to go on, my guess is that ho1tmann's 2021 wing board has branham, keels, and brown at the top. except for branham being an ohioan, i think i'd be equally happy with any of them. my preference might actually be for keels, though i expect he won't leave the mid-atlantic.

edit: re-watched some branham tape. nah... preference still with branham. me like silky.

Likely just a coincidence but interesting to me that we offered Brown shortly after Duke offered Keels.

OTOH, would be just about as impressive if we could pull Brown away from Kansas.
given that brown is from minnesota and that he has been in kansas for only a few months, it shouldn't be the tallest task, though i'm certainly not assuming that osu would be the winner or even in his top 3.

minnesota sure has produced a lot of blue-chip talent recently. too bad li'l pitino struggles to keep any in the state.

Five-star junior Kendall Brown talks recruitment, recent on-court success
...

While on the topic of the new offer, Brown and I discussed his recruitment and he listed along with the new Vandy offer, his new scholarship offer from Ohio State who he listed as a ‘new program involved’ in his recruitment.

As far as who’s involved and on him hard, Brown listed the following schools:

“Marquette, Minnesota, Ohio State, Arkansas, Maryland, Kansas and Baylor. Just saying how they’re going to use me and telling me what they have to offer to help me on the next level.”

...

Brown said that he’d like to visit Ohio State along with Minnesota and several other schools. Right now he’s focused on his season, no visits are planned as of right now.

Five-Star Forward Kendall Brown Taking Official Visit to OSU This Month

Kendall-Brown-Nike.jpg

According to a report from Jake Weingarten of StockRisers.com, 5-star Wichita, Kansas forward Kendall Brown will be taking an official visit to Ohio State the weekend of February 22nd.

Brown is ranked the No. 6 small forward in the 247Sports Composite and the No. 20 player overall. He has already taken an official visit to Marquette.

Along with Marquette, the other schools he is currently talking to include Illinois, Vanderbilt, Kansas, Texas, Maryland, and Baylor.

On the court, Brown is a very talented finisher and can handle the basketball well enough to get by his man and create for others. He will need to continue getting stronger with his jumper because it doesn’t look like it will currently allow for him to get a jump shot off with a defender of similar size in his face. He is only a junior, however, so there is still plenty of room for continued growth in that area.

do not know where the scholarship is going to come from but

Kansas native Kendall Brown of Sunrise Christian High School will be in attendance as part of his second official visit to Columbus. The five-star recruit is rated as the nation’s No. 20 overall player and No. 6 small forward in the class of 2021. He holds offers from 18 schools including Marquette, where he made his first official visit on Oct. 25.
