Call me a homer but when it comes to the majors I want an American, any American, to win it. I do not want no European and that includes a Spanish player winning a major tournament. Glad to see Garcia melting down already. Dustin Johnson could win this thing. Almost put some vcash on him.

I just do not believe that the feelings between the guys who have played on the Ryder Cup teams go away that easily. I think that the Europeans would like to see a European win and I think the same goes with American players. Maybe I am crazy but that is what I think.

That 14-year-old might make the cut:) +2 over today but still has to play the 17th and 18th

After 17, he's one over the projected cutline.

Needs to birdie (or better) 18 to have a shot.

But he's 14 and is hitting clubs normal professionals would probably not hit. Good experience.

I did read his parents were getting business cards throughout his entire round Thursday (not really surprised by that).

Well, projected cutline is 4-over right now and the 14-year-old finished at 4-over.

So, he'll have to just sit and wait. He probably won't make the cut, because someone is probably going to push the lead past 6-under.

But it's a good experience either way.

I do not know the leader board is starting to drop back towards the field +4 might be good enough.

Yeah, leader's at 5, which pushes it to 5-over, but there are golfers just finishing up 1. So there's a ton of golf to be played.

But, I mean, in China, the kid is probably a hero for just shooting 73 Thursday. With the course set-up, 99% of the world couldn't do that.
