15-year-old kills 9-year-old to "know what it felt like" to commit murder

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. ? Blessed with a Friday off school, 15-year-old Alyssa Bustamante dug two holes in the ground to be used as a grave, authorities said. For the next week, she attended classes, all the while plotting the right time for a murder, they said.

That time arrived the evening of Oct. 21, when Bustamante strangled 9-year-old neighbor Elizabeth Olten without provocation, cut the girl's throat and stabbed her, prosecutors said. Why?

"Ultimately, she stated she wanted to know what it felt like," Missouri State Highway Patrol Sgt. David Rice testified Wednesday during a court hearing over the slaying.

"Hands on education." I wonder how this will play out in the court system. 15 and female... if she were male I'm sure they'd push for trying the case in adult court.

My second year of teaching I had a first grader who backed one of the other boys up with a sharpened pencil aimed right at the kid's nose... "You do that to me on the playground again and I'll shove this right into your brain." He'd been kicked off the bus the year before when he pulled the brass straight edge out of a ruler and tried to use it to garret another student. I often wondered what happened to him. He's probably in charge of making the new license plates at Lebanon. For what it's worth this was in Anderson, a rather nice part of Cincinnati.

As a country we really need to make it easier for someone to receive the death penalty.

Well by next year the supreme court might decide that a death penalty in this case, and the case of other minors, is cruel and unusual punishment. I hope not no reason for this piece of trash to be alive. You really want to find out what its like to kill someone just kill yourself and the world a favor.

Simply put, this person has a severe problem that was triggered... worst part is, its something you can't cure.

A dog bites, a dog gets put down... I mean, this wasn't even self defense, or a god damn motive - and that's the truely scary part, people who kill, simply to do it.

Lock her in a whole she can't get out of, and when she's old enough to not recieve smypathy about being a child... do what justice should be done and god have mercy on her.
