If you're looking for the biggest guy on the field, you won't notice Deen Franklin. If you're looking for a big playmaker, you may want to stop and take a peek. In WGH's balanced spread offense, Franklin isn't asked to do much, but he delivers when his name is called. Through three games, he only has 4 catches, but that has already added up to 119 yards (29.5 ypc) & 2 TDs. WGH hasn't seen the bulk of their schedule yet, but it won't be long before the state finds out just how big of an asset that Franklin can be as upcoming games against Youngstown Cardinal Mooney, Euclid, Cleveland St. Ignatius, and Massillon are all coming within the next 5 weeks, so time will tell how he fares against some of Ohio's better programs.

Recruiting wise, I'm not aware of what shape Franklin is in (I'll find out though). His size may be a factor for bigger schools, but I wouldn't be surprised one eventually takes a chance on him.
