Sheldon Brogdon is one of the elite players in Ohio's class of 2009. He handles the ball well and has shown the ability to set up his own shot. He has nice speed that allows him to get out in the open floor and, when given the opportunity, will throw down a dunk on fast breaks. Has early offers from Kent State, Western Carolina, and Youngstown State, with many more watching.

On Saturday night, Brogdon scored a career high 31 points in a 76-71 victory over Farrell. Through 4 games, Brogdon is averaging 21.3 points per contest for the Raiders, who are now 4-0.

Warren Harding hosts Youngstown Cardinal Mooney tomorrow night.

A 6'0" SG/SF... not sure about that, maybe he plays the position in high school.... does he have PG skills?

Actually, Brogdon played PG in the Farrell game. He handles the ball very well, but he normally plays shooting guard because of his shooting ability. He is athletic enough to play SF at, like you said, the high school level. In fact, in the first four games, Warren Harding has started Brogdon, Desmar Jackson, and Fred Williams, all of whom are guards, while rotating Chris Henderson (6'8), Damien Eargle (6'8), and Elijah Jordan (6'5) throughout the game, mainly to establish a fast tempo. If Harding uses a big lineup, Williams, who is a sophomore, will come off the bench to allow the other big man to start. With the exception of Williams. all of the players listed above have Division 1 offers. If Williams keeps playing at the level that he's playing at, he'll be on his way to receiving more attention as well. Maybe not from Ohio State, but schools will be watching him as he continues to develop.

FWIW, Jackson, a 6'5 player who is ranked as Ohio's top basketball prospect for the class of 2009, is Warren Harding's starting point guard. He did not play in the Farrell game, which is why Brogdon did most of the ball handling.

Also, I should mention the fact that on Saturday, January 12, 2008, Warren Harding will play Zanesville at Ohio State's Value City Arena. I know that Ohio State has their eye on a couple of Harding's players, so hopefully they can continue to establish some consistancy as they head into the new year. Ofcourse, everybody can't go to Ohio State just because they are good, but it will be a great opportunity for the players to showcase their talents in Columbus. Last year, Eargle & Henderson had solid performances against Canton Glen Oak, who was led by current OSU freshman Kosta Koufos.

Does OSU have interest in Brogdon?

Brogdon's stock is very much on the rise. He has taken his game to another level this year, so while he already has offers, others are starting to take notice. Ofcourse, Ohio State can't offer everybody, but it wouldn't surprise me if Brogdon eventually gets a serious look. As I posted before, Warren Harding will play at Value City Arena on January 12, so the Buckeyes will have an opportunity to see him play in their gym. We'll see what happens.

BTW, Brogdon scored 27 points in Harding's 87-76 victory over Shaker Heights.
