Maybe a name to keep an eye on in the 2009 class...

Bill looked impressive at the adidas Pehnom150 camp, rebounding well and blocking shots.

Bill played in the all-star game at the adidas camp and had a team high 14 points.

Both articles mention that he needs to grow a little into the PF spot but that he can also play on the perimeter, so he could end up a 3/4 combo.

Rivals is listing interest in tOSU, but in his latest update he listed Xavier, Oklahoma State, Seton Hall and Providence. He possibly could be a prospect who develops late in HS. Edwards is teammates with Danny McElroy who is considered the #1 prospect in Ohio for the 2009 class.

Holy Crap

I don't post a lot on here, just read all the time, but when I saw this kid's name, I had to check it out. His dad went to my high school for a year (his junior or senior year, I can't actually remember which), Carlisle High School down by Middletown. I went to pretty much every game and watched the elder Bill and his brother (whose name I also do not recall). They made it exciting to watch, but an unfortunate series of events marred their stay at my school (and the individuals involved were in no way indicative of the general populace of Carlisle or the school). Just had to throw that out there. (Graduated in 90, by the way, and going on 15 years in the Navy and currently deployed to Iraq).

I watched his dad play at Wright State...you talk about a scoring machine. Averaged like 25 ppg as senior and led WSU to it's first (and I think only) NCAA bid. Anyway, if he patterns his game at all after his dad's, this kid will be a good one.

Almost forgot, his dad was officially listed at 6-8 and played forward.

If that wasn't hard enough to handle, just two minutes into their game at Springboro, following a missed jump shot, sophomore Bill Edwards fell to the floor with an injured ankle ? the same right ankle he injured during football season.
He came out of the locker room for the second half on crutches and never returned. The extend of the injury is still uncertain.

Continued....
