This may belong in 2006 recruiting, but figured more folks would see it here since they consider 2006 recruiting closed.

Makes perfect sense for OSU to be looking at another JUCO for this season. An experienced big man (somebody who can put a body on Oden in practice) who will be gone in two years is nothing but a plus.

(To give proper credit, I saw this in a thread on BN.)

Moving this thread to the main recruiting forum, due to this prospect being in play and in order for it to be seen on the main forum at least for the time being.....:wink2:

I think this has to with Hunter not looking good. I also think they want to play Twig at the 4 this year and they want another solid backup for Oden.

Hall looks huge and looks to be a good find. Now lets hope that we can get him in here.

I would have to agree with your opinion on Hall. Hunter could possibly be a question mark and Twig is more suited to the 4 position in my opinion. We have a few scholies to play with so if in fact Hunter makes the grade and Hall wanted to come on board, it would be possible to take both.

The wildcard here is James.....:wink2:

I don't think it has to speak directly to whether Hunter is coming or not. We need another big. We have one real back up center. What happens if Twig gets hurt or more specifically if Oden gets hurt next year? We'd have one center. This may speak to where Bell's development is if you're talking about moving Twig to the 4 though.

I think Bell will be fine, if he is forced to play a number of minutes. Just remember how much guys improve from their first to second year under Matta.

I agree that they want a big guy to bang with Oden, in practice and to back him up. I like the idea of the pickup, but I still think that it has to do with Twig moving to the four as his primary postion and the ongoing saga of Hunter, will he or wont he make it.

Hall is currently playing with the Costa Rican National Team and he must also take two summer classes before moving on to Division I.

Interesting he has to take two summer classes. Most schools, especially ones on semesters, have already started their summer classes. Ohio State will not start their summer classes for a couple of weeks. Just a thought...
