By Ryan Jordan Scout.com - South
Date: Mar 23, 2005

Bo Harris might be the best player in the state of Georgia that you know nothing about. He first opened eyes in January at the Kennedy/CES Combine when he ran a blistering 4.65 forty at 6’2 210lbs. Once we got the opportunity to view his film however, Bo opened our eyes even further to just how good of a football player he really is. See why in this video of him in action from ScoutTV.

Which schools is Bo Harris looking at early on?

“I’ve got so many, I really don’t know right now. I like the 6 schools I mentioned to you a few weeks ago, and I like pretty much the whole SEC. Auburn and Kentucky has been sending me the most letters so far and Ohio State sends me a bunch too,” Harris said.

What stands out about his original 6 favorites?

Auburn: “It’s close to home and I like to watch them on TV.”

Georgia: “It’s close and I have a cousin that goes to school there. She likes it a lot and she wants me to go there.”

Georgia Tech: “It’s close to home too.”

Florida: “Who doesn’t like Florida? They win a lot and it seems like a great place to go.”

Ohio State: “They’ve been sending me a lot of letters.”

Kentucky: “They send me a whole lot of stuff also.”

What is he looking for most in a school?

“I want to see how close it is to home and how good the football team is really.”

Harris knows of one team camp he’ll attend this summer.

“I think I’m going to Vanderbilt’s senior camp. That’s the only one I know about right now. I have to talk to my coaches about it.”

If the Heritage High School product is able to gain a qualifying test score, watch for the offers to start coming in fast and furious. Scout.com will keep you up to date on Bo Harris right up through signing day 2006.

Scott Kennedy Scout Report: At 6-2 and 210 pounds, Bo Harris ran a blazing 4.65 forty with an even faster 4.43 shuttle at the Kennedy/CES Combine in January. He certainly had the physical skills, but it wasn't until yesterday that I saw he is an even better football player. Harris stars at running back and defensive end for Heritage, and he runs with grace, power, and speed. He is a demon off the edge from his defensive end position, and he is a weapon on special teams returning kicks and punts. He has incredible feet and terrific natural strength. At 6-2 and 210 pounds, Bo has the ideal size of a linebacker, but he's a good enough athlete to end up at any one of several positions on the college level including running back, linebacker, or even receiver.

It is a special player that can use his off hand to fight off multiple players while maintaining his balance tip-toeing down the sidelines. Bo Harris is a special player. See him in action in 6 Full Minutes of highlights courtesy of ScoutTV*:
