Cincinnati (OH)
Wyoming
Offensive guard

Height: 6-foot-5
Weight: 320 pounds
40-yard dash: 5.4 seconds
Schools in the Running: Iowa, Ohio State

Special Mention Division III last year as a junior.

Biography:
Big and agile offensive lineman. Can dunk a basketball.

He is a another dark horse Ohio Olineman with a chance at an offer. He weighed considerably more than his current 320 last year. Our first 3 Olineman could end up being Boone, Cordle and Brewster (instead of Haas and Cirroni).

There is not alot of info out there on him. Maybe some of you have more to add?

Duane has been saying some really positive things about Brewster and apparently the coaching staff at Ohio State likes him. He may be a player to remember this summer when offers come after camp. He's a little raw but with the talent we should have up front Brewster should have plenty of time to develop. Hopefully this time next year we won't be looking to fill any holes up front so we may be able to take a chance with a project or two.

yea- Duane rated Brewster at no. 12 in the latest Ohio High- no. 3 lineman in the state. It seems the tOSU coaches like Brewster and Hennis (although Duane is not too high on him-rated at 49 in Ohio High).

I guess we will see how things shake out in camp and what OOS'ers emerge as legimate targets for us. The OOSer's we have offered- Monroe, Doering, Roche and Roark all seem like long shots.

It's really going to be an exciting camp this year. There are going to be a lot of players there fighting for an opportunity to gain an offer. It's going to be fun to see who steps up. Competition on the whole team has gotten progressively better under Tressel, and now it is trickling down to camp. Excellent.

It does sound like a great summer camp. Can anyone attend?

Camp starts today. I'm not sure how it works, but the elite (invitation) camp will be the week of the 21st and I believe that is just a one day affair.

There is also a kicker / punter camp in there somewhere. I wonder when the offers/commits will start rolling in :groove: I'm going to try and get down there, although I'm not sure how much access the public has to any of the drills. I'm sure there will be a ton of players floating around at the all star game on Saturday night.

Kicker/Long Snapper camp starts today (16th) and finishes tomorrow. Then there are two 4 day all positions camps back-to-back. Then there are two one day Seniors camps back-to-back. Last day of camp being the 27th.

I just read that Kurelic likes Hennis a little better than Brewster. It will be interesting to see who the staff likes better. I also read today that we may sign as many as 5 O-lineman in this class with the number of scholies we have to give going up.

Looks to me like the number of scholarships available for the next class may be 21 or maybe as high as 22 with guys loosing their 'ship for academic or other reasons.

I see the breakdown of 21 as follows...

QB - 1
TB/FB - 3
WR - 3
TE - 1
OL - 4
DL - 3
LB - 3
DB - 2
K - 1

Posters on Bucknuts were claiming that sources on the staff said OSU was looking at taking 5 OL this year. From the rumblings coming from the camps, I'll bet both Hennis and Brewster get offers by tyhe end of camp, and probably accept quickly, although Hennis has some interest in scUM as well.....

Great guy

I'm more of a lurker here but I felt the need to post. I was at the UVA camp this past weekend and had the pleasure of having Brewster as part of my team group. He's is a great guy and extremly athletic for a big man. The coaching staff at UVA loved him, and he'd be a great addition to yours or any other team. And he is now considerably bigger than what you stated. At the camp he weighed in a 335 and was 6'6.5". Didn't hear him say his 40 or shuttle though.

That's a 1.5" and 15 lb difference than his original measurements above. Just as long as the extra 15 pounds is good weight, and shouldn't be too much of a problem if he indeed did grow an inch or so. It would nice for him to commit to us and us have the top three in-state OL in the class...
