Had an extremely impressive junior season recording 112 solo tackles, 95 assisted tackles, 36 tackles for a loss, 14 sacks and recovered 7 fumbles. Plays middle linebacker and some DE for Rockledge but could possibly end up at DE at the next level. Miami, Florida State, Florida and Ohio State have shown the most interest early on but he does not yet have any offers. Holmes was a Florida Gator fan growing up.

There is video on Rivals of Holmes. He has very long arms and legs and runs well from sideline to sideline. He shows good footwork dropping in coverage. The coaches quote about Holmes always running 100% seems pretty accurate from the clips. He rushes the passer well from the outside, plays the run pretty well in the middle and broke up a pass or two and had an interception on the tape. Very nice looking athlete.
