I know this was mentioned before, but not really officially.
Anyone have experience with the Asus Eee PC?
Any thoughts on usability (small screen/keyboard)?
Any comments on durability?

I had a few spare minutes at work today. During that time, I ran across something in the documentation in our bug tracker and it led me on a bit of a trail. Anyway, I ended up with a custom search option for our bug tracker for both Firefox and IE7 search boxes. It's pretty cool. The Firefox...
For any math/science/computer enthusiasts around: check out XKCD, it's a webcomic that's pretty funny. Most of the stuff is just stick figures, but it's the content that's good. There's lots of good stuff there (some better than others, but that's to be expected).

From the FWIW department. Things keep progressing.
It's really not all that badly priced at $400. $.40 per gigabyte is just a bit above the average.
Anyone know of a good (free) converter for .flv files? I can deal with whatever output they give, I just need to get them out of the flash video format and into something a little more useful.
Anyone had experience with a good CRM database? I'm looking at Oracle's Siebel (which may be out of the price range), Sage's ACT!, and FrontRange's Goldmine. If anyone has any experience with these or any others please let me know. It would be very much appreciated.
I have a friend studying abroad in the Middle East this semester who needs to watch the game. It sounds like the local sports bars are not going to be carrying The Game. Is there any way to watch it online?

This place is pretty cool. It's great way to see how fast your connection is. It's just a shame that all the servers out there aren't this fast. Here are my best two.
Every year Google comes up with a pretty good joke, I was kind of dissapointed I didn't see this year's 'till today. I haven't had time to read it yet. http://www.google.com/romance/
So here's the deal. I have a VOIP program, ventrilo. The college I'm at went on a port-blocking spree to protect the not-so-knowledgeable general public here. So I can't access the VOIP and IT has been dragging their feet in opening the port. Can I set up a proxy to redirect the VOIP...
The military has deployed video game-like gun turrets on vehicles (i.e. hummers) in an effort to save people's lives. Basically they say that people who have played video games are much better at it. I know I've had more than my fair share of "practice" :D . I think this is a great use of...
A kid from Michigan got himself a 20 inch iMac, 10 iPods and a $10,000 iTunes gift card just for downloading the 1 billionth song that iTunes has sold. :yow1:
It just had to be a Michigander didn't it.....:scum4:

I'm considering a DVD burner and was wondering if anyone has experience with Lightscribe (www.lightscribe.com) enabled burners? If you're not familiar with it, the burners use special coated disks and can burn detailed labels directly to the top side of the disk.

Ok, so there's this new AIM virus out. It says something about looking at pictures on facebook. Anyway, a couple of my friends clicked on the link, and well, it's pretty ugly. I got the first one cleaned up, but I think this one made it a few more days and it's not cleaning up completely...
This sounds pretty interesting, I've read things that suggest it may be a little exaggerated, but it's still pretty cool. (It is a few days old, so you may have already seen it.)

It really has nothing to do with Xbox, even for being an "official" ad, but it's pretty funny. Check it out: http://microsoft.blognewschannel.com/index.php/archives/2005/11/22/banned-xbox-360-ad-best-ad-ever/
There is a sweet program out there called ourTunes. It's an open-source spin-off of iTunes, but much better. So not only can you now browse and play people's shared iTunes playlists, but with ourTunes you can DOWNLOAD all of the songs you want from these people. This is helpful specifically...
This is messed up stuff. The administration took the right actions to stop it short, but not quite quick enough.

I made this game using flash MX. It's pretty simple, but a good way to kill time. Anybody out there do programming in flash? I think it's one of the easiest ways to get (simple) graphics to interact with code. Enjoy.
edit: It's pretty processor-intensive and may not run well on older...
I think that Microsoft is starting to feel some pressure from Google. I personally see Google as the just about the only company with a chance at beating Microsoft. I still can't believe that Microsoft would team up with a competetor like this...
