QB Kenny "the old righty" Guiton (WR Coach Wisconsin)

Kenny is the type of guy who I can see coming back as a coach in a few years. Smart kid, good leader, and bleeds scarlet and gray. I almost feel bad that he never really got a shot to be a starter, I feel he could have made a much better quarterback than many of the previous OSU quarterbacks...

    My Preseason Preview/Kind of website

I know this is a bit off topic, but I saw you were majoring in journalism. It's a great major, and takes hard work, but you may want to pick up a minor in another field as well. We all have our dreams with what we want do to in life, but being realistic, I know a few people who have recently...

WR Braxton Miller (B1G POY, National Champion)

I think his thoughts were based off his season so far, which nothing against Braxton, but statiscally speaking, has been far from impressive so far as a quarterback. Obviously stats don't tell the entire story, especially in highschool, but it can put doubt in some people's minds.

'11 OH WR A.J. Jordan (Wisconsin Signee)

I'm surprised this kid hasn't received more attention. I saw his highlight reel, and it was needless to say, VERY impressive. Obviously it's still very early, but I really would be surprised if he isn't offered at some point.

    2009 tOSU Defensive Line Discussion

That is true, but keep in mind Doug Worthington as well as Cam Heyward are both prototype 3-4 ends in terms of size and ability. Sliding worthington down to the end, with gibson as the rush linebacker would actually make a lot of sense as Gibson knows how to play linebacker. If anything...

RB Jaamal Berry (Transfer to Murray State)

I believe when people say he isn't THAT fast, they don't see him as 4.31. Keep in mind, Ted Ginn ran a 4.31 as his NFL combine 40 time. Regardless of whatever slow or fast the track was, that is the general type of player you're comparing him to when you're talking about 4.31 forty times...

    DE Vernon Gholston (Official Thread)

Keep in mind a certain defensive end for the Texans didnt do crap his rookie year either...

    WR Brian Robiskie (Official Thread)

The problem is... Robiskie doesn't have better measurables than Gonzo does. The only area where Robiskie trumps Gonzo is in the height department. Don't forget Gonzo was a stud highschool sprinter, and in addition to that ran a pretty sick combine 40 yard dash. In addition to that, he had a...

'10 OH ATH Spencer Ware (LSU signee)

Say what you want, but that kid has a VERY good arm, good zip, and it looked like he really put the ball on the spot. Had a quick release too. If he were to grow a few inches, who knows, maybe he could easily be a quarterback.

scum RB Fitzgerald Toussaint (official thread)

He had very good vision and had the arms, balance and quicks to be able to pick up yards in traffic. I disagree with RB in that he is only a role player at the next level. We all know that small backs can be very successful at the college level, especially if they have the vision, balance and...

'08 TX RB Aundre Dean (UCLA signee)

I suppose. Running style really did remind me of them. Keep in mind however, Peterson and McFadden got a lot faster in college. They werent necessarily speed backs in highschool.

'08 TX RB Aundre Dean (UCLA signee)

WOW. REALLY like this kid. His runningstyle reminds me EXACTLY of Adrian Peterson. He's a fast big back who can hit the home run and really "attacks" the line of scrimmage. Not saying he's of Peterson/Mcfadden type quality, but his running style almost identical.

    '09 OH WR Ricardo Duncan

I think thats a different duncan.... this duncan is from Ohio, not lansing MI.

    WR Chris Fields (official thread)

He reminded me of Peter Warrick there. Much shiftier than i expected from his soph video. One thing I did notice tho is that it almost looked as if he had a really bad running form. Perhaps his top end speed could change dramatically from better running from & butch reynolds...

'08 OH RB/LB Devoe Torrence (Akron signee, transfer to ??)

It's amazing how stats really dont tell the story of how good a player is. I've always known he's a 5 star blue chip runningback, however i'm still amazed at just how agile he is for a big guy. His ability to cut on a dime and make people miss is uncanny for a runningback who will play in the...

    WR Brian Robiskie (Official Thread)

Thats a pretty bold statement saying Robiskie is the most polished receiver since Carter. Terry Glenn and Santonio Holmes were about as polished as they could possibly be on the college level...

'09 TX QB Russell Shepard (LSU Signee)

Eh, I think it's a little bit different when you're talking the #1 recruit in the nation. Then again, that didn't deter Dayne Crist from going to ND. Either way, it doesn't help our chances.
  19. cbus2005

'09 TX QB Russell Shepard (LSU Signee)

As far as skill set goes, he sounds a lot like Perrilloux coming out of highschool. He's going to make some program very happy, but I really doubt it will be Ohio State if we land Pryor. Secondly, as far as ASU goes, it really doesn't matter if they just landed Jack Elway. He's a pocket...

    WR Chris Fields (official thread)

I dont think Fields needs to get alumni to get his name out there. He supposedly played out of this world at the underclassmen summer camp. Anyway, be patient, most people do NOT get offers this early.
