2026 CA DL Khary Wilder is a Buckeye!!!

Good. Roll out the red carpet, play the trumpets, and have a DL coach in his ear, pointing out the DE play, and how he'd fit. Also that tOSU not afraid to play newbies in crucial times in a game. See Bo, CB, for examples. Probably more that I've missed....also point out he'd be going against...

2026 GA DL Dre Quinn (Clemson Decommit)

So maybe Texas is running short of NIL cash? Or no longer a need? There's going to be some DE holes next year, given the fact that didn't really score big at this position recruiting-wise.....

Game Thread Minnesota at #1 tOSU, Sat. Oct. 4th, 7:30 pm ET, NBC

Don't disagree with opening the flood gates on offense, but please, please, pull the starters as early as possible. Yeah, I get wanting to preserve a shut-out on score and TDs, but remember back to spring, when everyone was moaning about lack of depth at DL, etc. The lack of depth is lack of...

    2025-2026 Ohio State Men's Basketball

Will be in C'bus mid-December to mid-January to be with daughter. Loose plans to go see several men's and women's basketball games before they break for the holidays. The games are more fun watching from the stands v TV time. Go Bucks!

    2025 tOSU Defense Discussion

Am from the Super Soph genre, and agree with Georgia Buck. They shoulda won 3 Natty's, except for the 1969 pasting by Xichigan, (still my feeling was worst loss ever) and Jim Plunkett and Randy Vataha's histrionics against Stanford in 1970. More (and better?) pros came from that team, but...

2027 IL LB Roman Igwebuike (Verbal Offer)

Color me impressed with the job Laurinaitis has done with our LBs. His college career and pro career still recent enough for recruits to remember, and (to me at least), he brings a savvy gained in the pros, much as Hartline does. Now, all he has to do is sit his two All-American candidates a...

    OL Luke Montgomery (National Champion)

The running game tends to go toward the side that is opening holes in the D line methinks. So yeah, the left side of tOSU OL is moving people out, as the right side is not. Our left side this year appears to be as good as last year's.....even with two first rounders gone. Keep it up and Go Bucks!

    DC Matt Patricia (Official Thread)

You can color me as one who was concerned as well. Knowles record of improving the Buckeyes D is now history, taking them to #1 D on way to winning the 2024 Natty. OK, where does one go from there? Well, down of course, but it appears that so far, tOSU's D is farther ahead than last year, and...

Minnesota at #1 tOSU BMW Thread

Other than some early exceptional match-ups, the 'pre-season' consists of mostly body bag games. Lesser lights are sacrificing their teams to pull in some money as visitors from the big boys. (see Grambling State). Allows the teams to develop teamwork, timing, etc before league starts...

Game Thread Minnesota at #1 tOSU, Sat. Oct. 4th, 7:30 pm ET, NBC

They weren't. The DL pushed, but didn't try to beat blocks, just hold them, and kept their heads up against the QB. Whether to slide off and tackle, or put their long arms up to block the pass, dunno, but both would have worked. And do not discount keeping Arvell in to spy on the QB...

    2025 tOSU Defense Discussion

Can someone please explain to me how current year's D is better than last year's? I get statistics, but with all the high priced beef from last year, all four starters drafted, how can these 'no names' be so much more effective than the other guys. Am astonished, but very pleased, and keep...

    The Ryder Cup

Hey, you're right. The game does utilize a ball, but it's stationary, and one can put it on a wooden thingy, as high or low as one likes. And one utilizes 'clubs' of different lengths and elevations to hit the ball to a stationary place, and even has a flag marking the target. No one's trying...

2026 CA CB Rahsjon Duncan (Washington Verbal)

Iggy's gone after this year, and who knows if Jeremiah Mathews is gonna go as well. We've got two good ones coming up (names escape me, both from Ohio), as well as Sanchez, who appears to be working into the 2's nicely. Plus more that don't know about on the pine right now. Safety also seems...

    Thee Ohio State University News

Pretty certain I wouldn't have qualified to go undergrad at tOSU given these high score requirements. Did go to Miami U, and five or so years later heard university president speak at alumni gathering in Dallas. He led off with, "most of you wouldn't have qualified for entry to MU now" sort of...

    The Ryder Cup

Yeah, not acceptable from a golfing crowd. Maybe the Scottsdale fans were transported to Bethpage? Either way, not a normal golfing crowd. And, will bet vcash that in two years, the Brit/world crowd will react the same way. Anyone know where it'll be? Will be on a golf cruise in...

    Week 5 Game Discussion Thread

Thought it was a good game, trying to compare the hitting against tOSU v Washington game. Maybe a tad harder, but on same level. Oregon QB play was very good, Allar left me scratching my head. He's the main reason PSU selected (pre-season) to win it all. He still seems to through the INT at...

2026 CA CB Rahsjon Duncan (Washington Verbal)

Probably was in Seattle to witness Saturday's game. Also bet he was watching both team's DBs during play. Guess we'll see which way he leans, hopefully the Buckeye talking heads will dial him up to get his take.

Where was the last place you went on vacation?

Any superstitions about taking a souvenir from Machu Picchu home? In Hawaii, it's bad luck to take a piece of white coral out of the state. Same with Marble CO, taking a bit of coral will cause bad luck. (this is where the marble for Washington monument was mined). Not usually superstitious...

Texas Longhorns (big hat, no cattle; please don’t Horns Down us)

Well, if you're an up-and-coming QB, who ya gonna choose to be your tutor? Sark or Day? From what we've seen, gotta be Day by a long way. Only QBs that have fled tOSU are those that got beat out. Appears that more than one 5* QB from Texas has gone away.
