If UVA and Louisville both get to the ACC title game with 1 loss it'll be interesting to see how they handle it . Do they both get in or do they get left out for some 2 loss who didn't have to play in a conference title game
What? It was 7-7 at halftime and 14-7 going into the 4th quarter. Then the Washington QB made probably the 2 worst throws he's made all year that allowed scUM to put the game away.
Washington also struggled with Rutgers and Maryland I'm not sure how good they really are. They are definitely...
Tennessee still ranked with 3 losses and their best win being against Mississippi State. The SEC effect at its finest. They'll likely be in the CFP top 25 Tuesday as well
Barham has 3 sacks and 7 TFL for the season.
All 3 sacks came against Central Michigan and Nebraska (who's OL is awful)
4/7 tackles for loss were against CMU and Corn
That's their best defensive player this year......
Derrick Moore has 8.5 sacks but that's all feasting off the bad OOC teams...
I don't think trying to run too much against them is an assured L this year. That front line is quite a bit weaker without those 2 first round DTs. Doesn't mean we should try to do that though
THeir defense was quite a bit better last year. They just don't have anyone who really scares you on D this year. The DL has taken a noticeable step back and the secondary is pretty mid.
The defense is nowhere near as good as it's been. It's been obvious all year. Purdue constantly moved the ball across midfield and then would do some stupid shit like taking the RB who was getting 4+ YPC out of the game and running the backup QB instead in short yardage.
scUM WRs once again aren't scary either. The only minor concern is McCulley has the ability to go up and catch those prayer arm punts. Just don't get stupid on run D. Stay disciplined and don't over pursue and there should always be at least 1 safety playing it safe in case their RBs do break...
It should be very concerning that we are late in the season and he noticeably has not progressed at all as a passer. The awareness is bad too, against teams with better athleticism on defense he's not shaking off what should be easy sacks and scrambling for big chunks, he gets away with it...
IMO the only way they beat us this year is if Day gets back into his bullshit about proving we can run up the middle all game. Their secondary is not good they aren't stopping us from throwing
