  1. DE Darius Slade (transfer to Arizona State, transfer to South Florida)

Good quality highlights... Very instinctive, gook pass/run, terror on edge, will need some good coaching, will be playing on sundays.
  2. DE Darius Slade (transfer to Arizona State, transfer to South Florida)

3* really? Where has he been hiding? Hope he jumps on.
  3. tOSU @ Minnesota, Thurs 1/16 @ 9p ET, ESPN2

Thank you Thomas... You knew when he left, this team had no chance. They will win some games when somebody gets hot, but no one is consistent, and unless somebody stands up, it is going to be ugly.
  4. If defensive staff changes are coming, who should OSU be looking to hire?

The hires seem good, but the two weak links are still on the staff; Fickle and Combs. In my opinion, find a home for Fickle and bring in Tressel from MSU. Combs should be replaced by someone who teaches technique rather than yells and jumps around. Unfinished business.
  5. David Njoku (TE Cleveland Browns)

This is the type of kid who will win you the big ones. When you get to the elite level, everyone has speed and athleticism. Tall, strong, great body control, jumps up and gets it, ....consider him a TE if you need to, but you dont pass on.
  6. David Njoku (TE Cleveland Browns)

OMG this kid is THE big WR Ohio State is looking for. I don't care what he clocks in the 40. He uses his body very well, high catches the ball, for his size has a couple of moves that will give you YAC and will be a big play machine. He will be a monster blocker for your running game. He can...
  7. DE Mike Vrabel (All B1G, All American, Pro Bowl, All Pro, Super Bowl Champion)

wait...this past year was the make it or break it year for Fickle and he broke it. Maybe it's not all him. I personally don't care to find out. You have a project leader and the project fails miserably. Who do you sack? All I know is Ohio State was in a position this year to play and win a...
  8. DL Dylan Thompson (transfer to Virginia Cavaliers)

Seems to shed blocks very well, seal the edge very well, take good angles, penetrates, sound tackling, reads well, athletic, needs 10-15 lbs for DE, 30 lbs for DT.
  9. S Erick Smith (Official Thread)

Erick is a good looking kid with a great big smile and great attitude. He is very active and athletic. He tackles hard and covers well. He has a nose for the ball, and quick to react. He is thin at this point, though. If he is going to be a great player at OSU, he has to hit the weight room...
  10. WR Noah Brown (Washington Commanders)

I see him playing and playing a lot as long as he picks things up mentally.
  11. DT Luke Fickell (HC Wisconsin Badgers)

2 yards or 12 yards? Humm...
  12. WR Torrance Gibson (Green Bay Blizzard)

You need to have more logic in your arguments. Saying that because we are going after QB's, even if coaches might not be convinced of this kid's passing abilities, it is OK to bring him in because he is a great athlete. Are you going to apply the same logic to the second QB? If so, then you are...
  13. WR Torrance Gibson (Green Bay Blizzard)

To be sure we have all the skills, we should go for 25 QB's and between them, we are guaranteed to have the perfect one...LOL
  14. WR Torrance Gibson (Green Bay Blizzard)

First requirement for QB is great passer. If that does not seem to be the case, move on to the next guy. Coaches get the big bucks to look and decide where they will be passing wise first.
  15. TX DE Solomon Thomas (Stanford Signee)

Did his coach say he was making a decision mid to end of January? I thought I read or heard that somewhere. If he did make that statement, then that does not sound good to me for OSU. He looked good in the Army All American game. Well built and will be a force.

  19. DT Luke Fickell (HC Wisconsin Badgers)

I think it is worse than one year. It is hard to build a good defense. You will have one year of total suck, one year with then new man/men transitioning, and then another year to peak towards the end, and that's assuming we get it right the first time, and what another bad year will do to the...
  20. DT Luke Fickell (HC Wisconsin Badgers)

That's actually funny. The risk would be that we are wrong and the coaches are the weak link and we are stuck with a sucky defense for a couple more years.
