LeDee is really struggling with position on defense. His hedges/drops vs the PnR have been horrid. He is very young so it is expected, but I am hopeful he can improve as the season goes along. My other complaint while I'm here is Andre Wesson's TOs. He as one of the higher TO rates in the nation...
As nomatta as pointed out in the past, it is hard to attract grad transfer talent unless there is immediate playing time available. With Kaleb and a string 3/4s like Young,EJ, Jaedon, Alonzo and Andre there likely will not be much time.
Ahrens' defense is just not ready for playing time yet. Someone help me find a player comparison for Washington. Right now my admittedly less than perfect working comparison is a lesser Gilbert Arenas.
I agree with you, but there are enough positive signs at this point that being more optimistic than at the start of the season makes sense. Also it nice to see this base of talent play well before we inject the high tier talent coming in next season. The potential after this year seems very high.
I think we will lose out on Zeb, but we are fortunately in a position where that is okay. I am not really sure there is a scholarship for Penn which must be awkward in the coaching meetings. I could imagine Penn coming as a walk-on but I am not sure Sconnie makes enough to bankroll that over...
What people miss about EJ is his versatility particularly on the defensive end. He mobile enough to defend perimeter while having the length and athleticism to protect the basket. I think he is a perfect fit to finish off this fantastic class. Only disappointment is we do not have much to talk...
