This recruitment has been interesting to me. Seems like there is a large assessment gap of his potential between not only the recruiting services, but also major programs. Ranked #7 and a 5* by 247, unranked and a 3* by Rivals. Offers from major programs like tOSU, ND, Bama, Tenn but not much...
I think Watson's plans to enroll early significantly reduce the likelihood of that happening (unfortunately). If Morris were to leave, it likely wouldn't be until December, leaving only a few weeks to make the flip happen. If he were going to be a signing day guy, I'd be much more optimistic.
Young man is clearly conflicted between wanting to visit other schools and honoring his word to Morris (and Swinney).
As a recruit, I would always question why a school would be so against me visiting somewhere else...makes it seem like they're afraid I might find something better.
As a...
Not to get into a big back and forth, but the quoted article says, "Would like to visit Tennessee, Indiana, West Virginia, Illinois & Ohio State this Spring. Will make his decision after all his officials."
Now, those first five visits (in the spring) would be unofficials. His officials...
As has been mentioned several times, he committed to Penn State which is the same distance from his home as tOSU. While proximity may be a factor, IMO it is not what is causing him to lean toward Pitt. It is far more likely that his relationship with the coaches and some players/commits has them...
If an athlete wants to transfer from AF (or Army/Navy) before incurring an Active Duty commitment, they must do it before the first day of their junior year.
The most prominent example, and one that Buckeyes fans should remember, is Anthony Schlegel

Interesting. I prefer to have a known entity than an unknown one. Football is the one major sport where an owner with deep pockets isn't important.
Ok, I'll play. Seeing as I signed up in December it's about time...
Was born in Akron and grew up a huge OSU fan. I've lived in Akron, Dayton, Colorado Springs and, most recently Destin, FL. Went to college at Air Force, so I'm loyal to them as well.
Love all Cleveland teams in addition to...
Hedging my bets:
300k on Richardson (what I think they'll do)
300k on Claiborne (what I hope they'll do)
20k on Floyd (trade down w/Buffalo if Kalil doesn't go 3)
And not so well for Philly/Arizona.
We've made two decent signings and filled a hole. Sure it's a stopgap, but it frees us up to draft a different position with #22 or #37.
And we cut Pashos. Addition by subtraction.
Got this from another forum of mine - put things into perspective for me. John Clayton's Winners and Losers from the first week of Free Agency, 2011.

I agree wholeheartedly with what buckiprof posted at the top of this page. I've been on the Claiborne bandwagon all along. If RGIII fell to us at 4, I was ok with taking him, but this team has too many holes to give up the package it took.
The decision at 22 boils down to one of 4 players for...
