Wait a minute, how many of those 9 are third place finishes? I didn’t realize anyone actually paid attention to the playoffs after they got knocked out in the semis.
Time to get this started! Tired of the fantasy offseason, and after that beatdown today, college basketball is not...
Much overdue congrats to @Fungo Squiggly for winning the league championship. I will try and have the draft order for next year up sometime soon. Good season everyone!
This was exactly what I was thinking as a reason to switch to roto because it is a different type of challenge. I think there might be a little more skill needed in roto because it is a season long compilation of records and not the one week potential turdfest of a playoffs performance to ruin a...
Exactly. Leave it up to the Reds to go the partial rebuild route for the 28th consecutive year. The dumbasses will do something stupid like trade Senzel for Bauer so they can finish 20 games under .500 instead of 28.
Hell the Marlins have been shitty for 80% of their existence, however, they...
A surprising suitor has emerged for Corey Kluber and Trevor Bauer. Jon Morosi of MLB.com reports the Reds continue to pursue the two Indians hurlers as well as other rotation options. Cincinnati desperately needs pitching help this offseason and they've touched base with pretty much everyone...
That kind of tells you that I probably have too much time on my hands to pay attention to the day to day baseball activities. IMO that is what makes it more fun and challenging than fantasy football though.
Holy shit. I didn’t realize I have lost 3 finals in a row and am only 2-5 in finals matches. I am the 1990’s Braves of this fantasy league.
So...
When does this Rotisserie transition happen?
Second year in a row I chased quantity of quality and it cost me. Congrats on the win Jax.
Speaking of the H2H format, any thoughts on changing the league to a roto format next season? I know we briefly talked about it earlier this season...
I did trade you Albies for Carpenter so that wasn’t a bad trade for you. And after keeping Carpenter for 5 or 6 weeks batting .150 or so, I cut bait before the hot streak began. In fact, I think he became a key cog in Jax’s run.
Juan Soto on the other hand...
It is crazy how things change in baseball from week to week. I would have told you to go fly a kite if you would have told me at the beginning of the year that I would be relying on Tyler White, Hunter Renfroe, and Juan Soto in the playoffs.
It was a good time for the offense to get hot, I am pretty sure my team hadn’t hit that many home runs all year, and that includes the multi-week matchups.
Now @Jaxbuck just needs to focus on football like he said he was going to do a couple of weeks ago!
Damn MD, the draft date and time was changed so you could make it!
The draft was fun, though the anticipation of the draft and who you might end up with always seems to be outweighed by who you actually end up drafting and lamenting the ones that got away. I am looking at you @boogs03, dude...
I honestly didn’t look at the rosters of the teams until after assigning them to the new managers, it was simply first team in received first team out, second team in received second team out and so on.
REMINDER DRAFT IS TONIGHT!
This will be the draft order for the draft on Tue Aug 28 8:45pm EDT. The order will be based on the playoff outcome from last season, then in order of the newcomers joining the league:
First pick: EZmotherfu#kinE (@TooTallMenardo)
Second pick: Da Bums...
David Johnson and Michael Thomas were late round selections as rookies so they still have great value as keepers. No one drafted Kamara last year, I picked him up as a free agent, so his value is a 7th round pick. OBJ was released last year by another team after his season ending injury. I...
