With you conceptually, but I think we want TCC or one of the TEs leading that charge, not the racehorses.

    WR Jayden Ballard (Official Thread)

Maybe he makes the jump referenced in the article. He doesn't have to be full-Olave to help. If he can be Devin Smith, we're in good shape.

    QB Will Howard (Official Thread)

I think/hope we will see the talent/ability advantages now weaponized on both sides of the ball. That's the beauty of having Knowles and Kelly as coordinators.

    O-Zone (Official Thread)

OZone led me here in 2004.

I was with you all the way up to the NYC bit. Looking for a big year out of him, though.

tOSU is and has been elite with the portal.

I wouldn't be surprised to see more of Sayin as the season goes on. Change of pace, if necessary, especially if he's gotten enough early season time.

    QB Will Howard (Official Thread)

I'd take McCord-like passing if he's a gamer who can run the ball for first downs and touchdowns and open up the run game for RB1 and 1A.

Post 23 Season tOSU Coaching Changes

I thought that one was a head scratcher from the beginning. Worth a look I guess, but I’m glad we and/or he moved on if it wasn’t a good fit.

    2024 tOSU Offense Discussion

Funny you mention that. I had a call with Brown last week and although the last thing I was going to do was ask him about football (I'm assuming that's what he usually gets), I looked him up in advance. I didn't know/remember that he was the second pick in the 2005 draft. Crazy how the RB...

    2024 tOSU Defense Discussion

It does seem like this group, staff and players has the chance to be historically great. I’m, of course, fired up to see it as a Buckeye, but also as a college football fan.

Love the velocity at which that came out.

QB Julian "Just" Sayin (Official Thread)

No heat, of course, but I love the spin and accuracy he was able to get out of the wrist-sidearm. That shouldn't be primary, but it's great to have in the quiver. We didn't hear about footwork problems, but we did hear about his really high processing speed. Ideally, what that allows you is...

QB Julian "Just" Sayin (Official Thread)

I think that's probably just how he was playing around in the video. I'm sure that if he had footwork problems we would've heard something about it in the spring. Looked to me like he was Mahomes riffing and you can't be good at improvisation if you're not solid in the fundamentals.

HC Ryan Day (2019 B1G Media COY)

Agree. Most people can parrot a script or talking points, but when you hear Day, it's clear that he knows his stuff and that you're only hearing the surface.

    Greatest Buckeye Receiver

A more than fair point, that! :)

    Greatest Buckeye Receiver

Gotta respect Jenkins down there at #10 with the second highest ypc avg (just edging Galloway) and the most career yds (edging Boston) and he did it without Glenn's deep speed threat. Helluva college receiver.

QB Lincoln "Dakota" Kienholz (Official Thread)

I don't think Air has to be factored into this calculus yet. If I'm his dad, I'm saying, hold what you've got for now, soak it all in, and help them develop you and we can recalculate later. The portal, if necessary, is his friend when/if that time comes IF he's gotten as much out of his time...

    2024 tOSU Defense Discussion

I think there's more talent across the board now, but we've also had talented guys before and almost criminally failed to develop and coach them. Knowles & Co. are GETTING IT DONE. I LOVE seeing younger guys come in and ball and it's also good for recruiting. That doesn't happen unless...
